The VanDerZee Law Group, based out of Lakeland, FL, is now accepting new clients throughout Central Florida and the Tampa Bay area. The law firm has only recently opened its doors to the public in November of 2009, but after excelling during its first year in business, it is eagerly looking to take on additional clients in the near future. Michael J. VanDerZee, managing partner and principle litigator of the group said he is "thrilled about the past year's success but is even more excited about the future."

The law group has thrived in Lakeland, and is always looking to gain new Lakeland based customers, but feels it may need to look further in an effort to expand its services. For instance, the firm is even reaching to military bases cross-state in order to bolster their military law area of its practice. Although the firm is taking on more clients, it will continue to practice in all three areas of its expertise: criminal defense, military law, and family law. The firm will also continue to place an emphasis on DUIs and divorce.

The law group believes that their location in Lakeland will serve as a convenient place of business for Central Floridians due to its proximity to both the major metropolitan areas of Tampa and Orlando. While this may present the firm's attorneys the possibility of needing to drive far distances for court appearances, it does not appear to be a concern. If enough new clients are generated from the Orlando or Tampa areas, the firm has not ruled out the possibility of opening remote offices in those regions.
