Are you one of the lucky 177,500 who'll be heading for Glastonbury this weekend? The 23-27 June celebrates Glastonbury's 40th anniversary which is a far cry from the small festival which began in Pilton in 1970 with 1,500 people.

The weather forecast is set to be hot and sunny for the weekend, so you may not need your wellies this year. Think of Glastonbury and what tends to come to mind apart from the mud? Portaloos!

This year, you may not need to worry too much. There will be 3,225 toilets in total, and more than 700 metres of urinals including the she-pee for the brave ladies who don't mind baring their bums! There are two main types of toilets - the 1,750 portable ones which are self-contained flushing chemical toilets and often have a sink; and the long drop ones which are open stalls above a large pit with a non-lockable door!Reassuringly, the festival employees 146 cleaners to make sure the toilets are cleaned at least once a day.

If this doesn't sound like your thing, there are going to be some luxury portaloos - trailer-mounted flushing toilets which come complete with toilet tissue, hand towels, soap, moisturisers and air fresheners. There are even large mirrors, modern art, lights and music playing (if you can hear it above Dizzy Rascal!).

Another popular choice is the Water Aid latrine-style composting toilets which are always nice and clean because users are meant to clean them themselves after each use.

Don't forget that free loo roll is available from all information points, so don't let yourself get caught out!

Headliners this year inlcude Gorillaz, Muse, Faithless, Dizzee Rascal, Faithless, Florence and the Machine and the Scissor Sisters so it looks like it's going to be a great weekend.

And what's more, there's no need to worry about the mud or the portaloos!
