MLM Lead Generation Strategies To Help You Market Your MLM
MLM lead generation is an extremely misunderstood concept in the multi-level marketing industry. The confusion lies in the first 'lead generation' tip you are given by your sponsor when you begin in a multi-level marketing company: write down the names of everyone you know including your family, friends, colleagues, etc. Then, when you're done racking your brain and applying the 'memory joggers' your upline gives you, you're instructed to call every person on the list and invite them to either a hotel meeting or a home party. While this tactic works for about 0.001%, the rest of the newbie network marketers either try this and fail, or are afraid to ever try at all, for fear of being added to the NFL club (the 'no friends left club'). It's my belief that this tactic explains the reason for the ninty-seven percent failure rate in the network marketing industry.
The number one thing you've got to be aware of is that MLM is a real business, and has to be conducted like a business in order for you to reach any level of success, or even sponsor your first few distributors. You wouldn't open a restaurant and expect to just tell Aunt Loraine and Uncle Johnny about it and still remain in business and become profitable, right? Multi-level marketing isn't any different. You must actually apply the most important, yet most overlooked concept in network marketing...and that word is marketing.
So what is the proper way of marketing your business? There are lots of ways both online and offline. Offline MLM lead generation methods include drop cards, flyers, mail-outs, the infamous '3-foot rule,' and cold calling. Several people think that these techniques are obsolete in this day and age. I think they work, but I do not think they work as suitably, quick or inexpensively as online techniques. In fact, by utilizing the power of the internet, you can get in front of a lot more people, a lot quicker than you would be able to by meeting people individually at Starbucks or calling them one on one. The truly amazing part in reference to online lead generation is the fact that people online are searching for work from home opportunities. Your only job is to study how to get your opportunity in front of the people that are most likely to be trying to find it, and they'll join you right then and there.

Then of course, most of their old downline, followed them and boom - they can now make an outrageous claim for how many people they recruited in less than a week.
The following is a list of my personal recommendations generating leads. I'm recommending these marketing techniques based upon what I've found to work the best, starting with my favorite.
Content Marketing - Content marketing includes creating articles and videos and this MLM advertising technique is really neat because it's 100% free, and can provide permanent traffic to your website. What I mean by that, is that you create it once, and people will see it when they're searching for your keyword phrases for years to come. The downfall is that it will take a couple months of daily efforts to see some results. So if you know you are the type that needs to see leads in your inbox today, paid advertising will be the way you'll want to go.
PPC - Pay per Click marketing is by far the most effective paid MLM advertising technique, hands down. Pay per click advertising is effective because it is just directed towards people typing in the EXACT thing you are offering. The way PPC works is, you choose a keyword phrase such as 'MLM Opportunity' for example, and then, when people type that into Google, they see your sponsored ad to the right. The only time you are charged is when somebody clicks on your particular ad. However, pay per click can cost you more than what you'll make with it if you're not using it correctly. I don't recommend doing any PPC without proper training. Perry Marshal wrote a good book on PPC, and there's also some other good training out there on the Internet.
Social Networking - This is quickly becoming one of the leading MLM advertising techniques and the reason for that is because the way that humans interact with one another is changing. Many of us utillize social networks like Twitter, Facebook and Myspace to connect with people, instead of just meeting face to face. Applying social networking will give you a chance to make friends while you're marketing, and if you dominate this tactic, you'll easily be able to generate 25+ leads everyday - absolutely free. Social networking may soon become the most widely used form of online MLM lead generation.
