Marketing Your Dental Practice: The Old Or The New Approach?
Choosing which dental practitioner to go to is difficult nowadays
. So many choices but you just can't be so sure if they're good enough. If you are a dental practitioner, how can you effectively get your services across? How can you make your services known, and in a business sense, "buyable"? Simple. Dental Marketing is key. There are may ways to market your dental practice. You can either stick with the old marketing strategy or you can explore newer strategies and boost your dental practice.
The Old Way:
* Brochure
This is a good way to market your dental practice if you have the money to do so. Brochures can be appealing with the colorful pictures and all but they cost money too. And people nowadays tend to ignore them and just throw them away. So, your investment in having these brochures designed and printed out may just not be reciprocated.
* Telemarketing
This is way better than brochures but it may take much of your time. Telemarketing is the process of calling your clients over the phone and telling them the benefits of your services. It may be good because it is very personal and you can instantly build a trusting relationship to your potential clients.
The New Way:
* Email Marketing
The use of internet as part of your marketing approach is widely available nowadays. It's cost effective and less time consuming. Email marketing is similar to telemarketing in a way that you have to spend time doing it, but it's just way better and faster. No hung-ups or irate people telling you to stop calling but rather an interest if they email you back.
* Website
Part of the "New" dental marketing strategy is having your own website. In order to keep up with competition you just have to re-invent your marketing plan. People rely on the internet to search for information. So, if you have a dental website, chances are people may end up searching you site and if your website is informative, people will get your services.
* SEO
Having a website for your dental practice is a good marketing strategy. It's informative and builds added credibility to your dental practice. But this does not end there. You have to bring in more visitors to your site and the way to do that is to optimize your website. SEO or search engine optimization can be done through article marketing social bookmarking, link-building, blogging etc. These steps help raise your ranking in google so when people search for your market, your site comes on top of the list. When this happens you are increasing your website's traffic and the more site visits you get, the more chances of getting new clients.
Your dental marketing plan would all depend on what you think would work best for you. You will have to choose one that is feasible in your area. It can be the old or the new strategy or you can just have a mix of both. The important thing is, it's cost effective and could easily give you the ROI in no time.
