Preparation is one of the important key in acing an MBA interview. This should go hand in hand with having an extensive knowledge about the school and yourself. There are a few things that one should expect during the interview and one should be ready for it.

First and foremost, you will need to make your interviewer believe that you are the best candidate for an MBA degree. Make them see the finer points of your personality and capabilities. Making yourself a perfect fit for the school can help you convince your interviewer that you should be accepted in the program.

The interviewers would also try to gauge your personality and your dreams. They will be asking why you badly want to be admitted or get an MBA degree. At this point, you will need to be more specific and point out to them that you have certain qualities that can be honed by their program. Of which will be later be of use to contribute to the business community and the welfare of the school.

To be able to convince further you interviewers, you will need to let them know that by being accepted you can maximize your skills and contribute to the objectives of the school. Thus, knowledge about the program of the school and its mission can be very handy at this point.

Knowing who will be your interviewer can be used to your advantage. You will be able to research more about your interview and can help you connect with him or her at a more personal level. Of course, the level of formality should never be discarded. Humility and respect should always be at the top of your list.
