Headquartered in Sunnyvale, California,MoSys, Inc. develops serial chip-to-chip communications solutions that deliver unparalleled bandwith performance for next generation networking systems and advanced system-on-chip designs. MoSys is a leading provider of differentiated, high-density memory and high-speed interface intellectual property, and has partnered today with CEVA to deliver a joint PHY plus Controller solution for Serial ATA (SATA) 3.0, for both host and device side applications. MoSys IP is production-proven in more than 225 million devices, and CEVA's IP was shipped in over 330 million devices last year, including handsets from 7 out of the top 8 handset OEMs. This partnership looks to have experience and strength behind it, initiating the potential for great efficiency and success in the future.

By leveraging MoSys' 6Gbps SerDes PHY and CEVA's SATA 3.0 Controller IP, this combined solution will unleash the full potential of embedding SATA interfaces in next generation products. The companies will cooperatively provide interoperability and direct engineering assistance, aiding SATA designers in both speed time-to-market and in reducing costs and risks when integrating the product. Furthermore, MoSys and CEVA will jointly market their new, integrated 3.0 PHY and Controller IP solution.
