1. Tell your students what you are expecting from them. It is important as a teacher to set objectives which will then allow you to manage the classroom better. You should let the students know what should be their output. The teacher must also be creative in conducting classroom activities. You can include games that will then have a connection with the lecture. You should tell directly to the students how to perform those activities and they are going to do. Let them do their task on their own. This can also be a way to test if the students are doing well in class. This will also help you determine the talents of the students. By doing this strategy, the students will be able to push themselves to finish the task and be better, especially when there is a high expectation.
2. Guide the students from the activities in the classroom. Remember that as a teacher, you are considered as a parent in school. The students definitely look up to you. And they expect to learn from you. You must be able to help the students in the classroom activity. You let the students explore and if they need your help, then you should help. Guiding is different with spoon feeding. You just have to lead them. Do not envy the students if they make mistakes, what is important is that they should learn something from the mistake they made. With this strategy, learning is generated at an optimum level.
3. Explain to the students why you are having the activities. It should be noted by the teachers that the activities that they will be conducting in classroom should have real life applications. For sure, the students will keep on asking why they are doing the said activity. You should explain to your students the relevance of the activity and let them apply it in real life. You should inform the students on how the activity will impact in their life as a person in the society. This will be an opportunity for the teacher to connect the activity in the lessons that will be presented. With this, interests of the students toward the lesson will be boost. By doing the activity, you can see directly how the students behave. Doing the activity lets them interact with each other. The ability to solve the problem is also tested.
