Although the economy is tight and it makes it rough for students, you can make it work to your advantage. Many individuals have had to give up luxuries of having professionals carry out tasks for them around the homes, but will still jump at the chance of having someone doing some of these tasks for them.

The thing to remember is, if you are student that is going to offer private services is that you are not likely going to be making the $12-$15 hour rate you would like to have. You have to price whatever services you are going to offer at a most reasonable price. It may be less than what you would get in a booming economy but then some money is better than none when you really need to cover some of the school costs for next year.
