Also, one has to be aware on how the shipment fees are charged which is either by weight or space. Another point to consider is to get the co-workers participation and support by asking them to label the boxes contents and categorising them according to assigned types for easy identification and relocation of items. During the moving day, it is important to have a representative to be on site so he can supervise the shipment and delivery of the items. The representative is responsible to check through the items stated in the agreement before signing it so that the moving company can provide the necessary refunds and reimbursement on any damaged or lost items. The relocating company should consider buying insurance on items which are of high values such as computers, data files et cetera. Reliable moving companies should be able to provide such insurance if the customer wants it. After the delivery of the items, the representative should inspect the delivered shipments for any damage or loss. Should this misfortune arise, the moving company should guide the representative through the procedure to claim reimbursements. Moving on (pardon the pun), the co-workers should then help to unpack the items. Important or confidential documents should be placed in the data room so that it will not be lost.
