When Tampa Bay is nipping at the heels of the front-running Falcons and Chicago is in charge of anything, it's true, things do look a bit jumbled. But, we've learned a lot about each of these teams in the first couple months and if there's one thing this parity has created it's an opportunity for bettors to search out value on Futures' bets at online sportsbook.

NFC SOUTH

The division that houses the reigning Super Bowl champ is always a good place to start when it comes to looking for underdog value. Predictions and weekly betting odds are consistently shaded towards the Super Bowl winner during the next season since the majority of casual football bettors are convinced these teams have the potential to win again.

Current ATS odds for New Orleans in Week 8 when the Pittsburgh Steelers come to town are 'Pick em' and that's evidence to support the above statement. Would any other team who's last three games included losses against Arizona and Cleveland not be considered an underdog against the best defense in the NFL?

SPORTS BETTING VALUE

The value play right now is finding the Atlanta Falcons at -130 or less to win the NFC South while oddsmakers keep the price on the Saints fluffed up for those who still believe the miracle lives on.

Atlanta is 5-1 straight-up in its past six games and has scored an average of 26.7 points during that span. Only three teams in the NFL, New England, Tennessee and Indianapolis can say they are better than that.

The Falcons are off with a bye and host Tampa after that while the Saints face one of their toughest tasks yet when Big Ben comes to town. Value pricing on the Falcons will not be around for long.

BEST IN THE WEST

Seattle beat Arizona soundly on Sunday and St. Louis is likely going to finish the season with six wins while the 49ers will be lucky to get five.

Pricing on Seattle (-140) is a little more expensive but between Matt Hasselbeck, Marshawn Lynch and Pete Carroll is there anyone that can challenge the Hawks for the NFC West division?

The NFC East is a little more up in the air with the New York Giants looking like a solid choice to pull away from the pack. And speaking of Pack', it seems no one in sports book land was fooled by Chicago's 3-0 start. After Green Bay's win over Minnesota the price on the Packers (-175) to win the NFC North is well out of what we'd consider value' range.
