Nascar Is A Strange Addiction For Men

Women and men are designed and programed very differently

. Women like to talk about problems, not necessarily solving them, just discussing them for hours at a time, men like to solve them quickly without much time involved and then get on to something more interesting like NASCAR. What is it about watching the same cars go round and round in a circle for hours? I don't get it. I used to think professional golfing was the most boring sport, but NASCAR has got to be close. Not so says my husband and boys who live for it. They use scanners to keep track of every little thing. I got one for my husband for Christmas, he loves it, cherishes it.

We were sitting at the table the other night when our 13 year old son had some ultra sour mouth spray, before long all the boys at the table were having spray competitions to see who could spray the most shots into their mouths without making a face. What is up with that? I tried a single, small shot and my mouth hurt for 10 minutes. The old question that always accompanies these competitions came up, "how much with you pay me to..." the questions differ but the concept is still the same. If I eat a grasshopper, a spoon of tabasco, a strange combinations of... what is it worth? Women don't engage in these competitions. They don't care.

Mess is the final topic I don't understand with boys. We have 3 boys and a girl. The boys can walk on top of clean clothes, mingle them with the dirty and throw them all back in the hamper without thinking a thing about it. Bathrooms are only for using, never cleaning, dishes are for eating never for washing, houses are self cleaning and meals are self prepared. I love my boys and I am so glad I have 3 boys but the mess and smell sometimes becomes a little overwhelming. They love their electronics gismos and gadgets also. The latest acquisition by son age 20 is a Uniden scanner, while I like the idea of no tickets, I certainly don't like the idea of speeding.

Boys and their toys, their mess, their weird food and their NASCAR. I don't understand them, but I love them and glad they are around!
