New Tech Makes Human Extinct!

New Tech Makes Human Extinct!

Famous scientist Martin Rees maintains that new technology may cause human extinction before 2099. (Martin Rees, "Our Final Hour", 2003)

Obviously, by our common sense, it must be so:

WhyBecome Extinct?

All our physiological functions of our body, including the brain, are controlled by our instincts, which are our ancestors' successful experiences saved in DNA. Naturally, we are unable to cope with these new technologies because we never have any chances enough to make such successful experiences or instincts. Thus, we can not survive them and thus become extinct.

Moreover, human is an animal of ultra high sensitivity; thus can not tolerate very small difference from our experiences, nothing to say about new technologies of extraordinary differences from old ones. (1)

Why New Tech?

By common sense, happiness is the feeling of things being a-step-better for keeping our DNA alive. (1)

Curiosity is one component of our happiness. In the old days, say 10,000 years ago, people had to have something new in order to get food or shelter easier and better in nature. This is why curiosity is one of our instincts or our ancestors' successful experiences saved in DNA which makes us happy. (1)

More importantly, curiosity can make a lot of money, most of which is spent for invalid happiness today.

Invalid Curiosity

Today, however, our new technologies never existed nature before; therefore, we do not have adequate experiences to cope with them or adapt to them. That is why we can not survive them. That is to say, the curiosity here is out of the valid scope of our instinct of curiosity. It is a kind of invalid happiness, and, in matter of fact, almost all invalid happiness hurts us.

Conclusion

New tech is a kind of invalid happiness, which hurts us much more often than not and very probably makes us extinct.
