Nfl Tickets - Week 14 Observations

Here are some things that stood out to me in Week 14 of the 2009 NFL season.

Josh Cribbs is one of the most dynamic players in the league. I know it's been a tough season in Cleveland, but people should be lining up to get NFL tickets just to see this guy. Cribbs made two huge plays that essentially won the game for the Browns on Thursday night against the reigning champion Pittsburgh Steelers. He was asking for a new contract before this season started and he better get one this offseason. Cribbs is dangerous as a returner, runner and receiver. Find more ways to get the ball in his hands.

Jamaal Charles is auditioning for a permanent spot in the starting lineup. The Kansas City running back has been electric since Larry Johnson was benched and subsequently released. Charles has averaged more than 80 yards rushing per game since the Chiefs' bye week and is starting to silence questions about his ability to be a lead back. He's not the biggest guy, but neither is Chris Johnson. He's been impressive.

The Vikings could be the best team in the NFL. I thought they were the best team in the league before their Week 13 loss to Arizona, but their convincing victory over the Bengals the following week has me pondering climbing back onto the bandwagon. I still think the Saints are nearly unbeatable at home, but the Vikings' balance makes me like them a lot.

The Dolphins are in a great situation as a franchise. It's hard to believe that this is the same team that went 1-15 two seasons ago. Most of the old personnel are gone and the Fins were able to make the playoffs last season. After losing Chad Pennington and Ronnie Brown for the season earlier in the year, I assumed they were done for, but here they are in the playoff hunt. The Dolphins would be the sixth seed in the AFC if the regular season ended today. Chad Henne has stepped in and done a good job, as has a resurgent Ricky Williams. This team may not end up making the playoffs this season, but Bill Parcels and Tony Sparano have done a fantastic job turning this organization around so quickly.

The Jets are another team headed in the right direction. They're 7-6 and don't have the best shot at the playoffs, but they're positioned well for the next few seasons. As Mark Sanchez improves, so will this offense. Right now it's their running game that carries them, but a potent passing attack could make this offense a dangerous one. The defense could be the best in the league within a season or two as Rex Ryan further puts his stamp on this unit.

The Redskins are better than most people think. I've been saying it for weeks, and I think some people took notice of their trouncing of the Oakland Raiders. This is the same Oakland team that was fresh off stealing a win from Pittsburgh. The Redskins don't need much to become a playoff team next season. Jason Campbell's quarterback rating of 89.0 is good for 14th best in the NFL, ahead of players like Kyle Orton and Carson Palmer.
