Nfl Tickets- What To Expect From Rg3
The Washington Redskins selected Robert Griffin III
, nicknamed RG3, as the number two overall draft pick in 2012 for several reasons. First, the Redskins want to revitalize a franchise that has been struggling in recent years, especially with finding a stable quarterback. Second, and most importantly, RG3 is one of the best, if not the best quarterback to come out of college and into the NFL draft this year. With his arrival, the Redskins will get something that they have wanted for the last 10 years: A fantastic quarterback and a winning season. Although there is a lot of speculation about whether or not RG3 will live up to the hype, the fact remains that he is a great, all-around player that will definitely add something special to the Redskins' offense. In the process, the Redskins will likely increase their already high NFL tickets sales this season.
What RG3 Brings
One of the skills Robert Griffin III brings with him to the NFL is his quarterback accuracy. At Baylor, RG3 improved his accuracy each and every year, leaving the 2011 season with only six interceptions, having thrown 37 touchdowns, and a 72.4 percent completion rate. Now, he should not be expected to have this high a rate in accuracy this season because, after all, it is his rookie season and all rookies make similar mistakes. RG3 may even have a higher number of interceptions, but that is typical of rookie quarterbacks and he should not be downed for it.
RG3 is also a fast learner and is able to adapt quickly. So the mistakes he makes in one game will likely not be repeated again. He is also a very flexible player and a strong athlete all-around. In combination with his quick passes, defenses will struggle to make assumptions as he can switch up at any time, and predictability goes a long way in the pros.
With the addition of Pierre Garcon on the team, RG3 may be able to bring up the Redskins' 19 touchdown passes record last season to about 27 this season. The combination of Garcon's ability on the field and RG3's accuracy will ensure that.
The Redskins play a spread offense, something that may be on its way out in the NFL. However, RG3 is a master of the spread offense and the fact that he already knows how to work with the team's offense will make his transition into the NFL much easier. With that in mind, RG3 will not have to carry the offense on his own as the Redskins already have a sturdy line. But with his deep-ball threat and Shanahan's system, RG3 may be able to hit 3,500 yards his first season in the league.
Unlike other quarterbacks in the league, Griffin will not be able to take hits because of his small frame. But he won't have to because he has help from his offensive line. This will help him stay healthy for longer and ensure a decent season. All-in-all, RG3's arrival to the NFL, and particularly the Redskins, will prove to be an exciting time for football fans.
