You are then able to have double indented listings, like this one here where your targeted page and main page would rank for that search term, instead of just one page.

To explain to you what I mean, do a search in google for the term physiotherapy. You will see the google results, generally from 1-20. Sometimes, there will be results from google maps for local businesss, sometimes video from youtube, as google owns youtube. Anway, in those 10 results, you will see the top line of all results in blue. This is the title tag of that site or web page. If the keyword you typed into the search is in there, it will bolded. There there will be 2 lines of text. This is the meta tag. If you dont define a meta tag on that page, google will scan the page and take an excerpt from that page. Also, any keywords you typed in will also be bolded. Then below that in green in the web page address. Again, any keywords you typed in, if they are in the web address, the too will be bolded.

So, making sure you have the keywords you want to rank for in those 3 tags is very important in google indexing your page or site and also, standing out in the search engine rankings.
