If you have already decorated the room and chosen a type of wood, stick to this for the door. Obviously the wood in every room in your home will differ, in this case opting for something light in colour is a great option. You could even paint it white so long as it fitted in appropriately with other room designs. You can buy doors that have not been painted or varnished so you have total control over the end appearance. If you are buying doors for every room in the home, then choosing something that has already been finished up would save lots of time and effort, and also make sure that they all match perfectly. Obviously the grain of the wood will not be totally the same, but this adds character and will show off the fact that the doors are made from real timber instead of a substitute.

Doors do not just have to be plain either, you may think that only external doors have different designs but this is not the case. You can even get internal doors that feature glass panels which allow more light to bounce into the rooms. You can big from large class panels, smaller squares which would look great in between a living and dining room. You can also simply buy doors with wooden panels that give a more interesting look but still provide a solid block doorway which are perfect for bedrooms and bathrooms. The choice of design is up to you, and you will be left with a completed house.
