Small cardboard boxes are available in many forms and shapes. While criteria might differ, generally a diagonal of 14 inches or less across the largest of the box's dimensions is what defines a cardboard box as small. Special custom foam shippers are available to accommodate the peculiarities of strange shipments. Using other items such as loose fill, polystyrene packaging peanuts and bubble wrap would naturally increase chances for a shipment to reach the destination unharmed. Items of extreme weight, odd size or extraordinarily fragile such as special artwork or fine china should not be shipped via a commercial channel. Special shipping arrangements should be made instead.
