Our New Ireland's Thriving Economic Journey
Our New Ireland's Thriving Economic Journey
The EU and the Euro cannot be sustained if all countries within the EU continue to have one foot in and one foot out. We are seeing the fluctuations with the exchange rates and this is not boding well for stability or continuity of a system that is essentially a good idea. If a country can receive grants to stimulate growth as well as receive affordable loans during adversity then the least all of them could do is throw themselves wholeheartedly into the successful utilization of the essence of the theme: Union'. This has strong effects on all the economies not just Ireland and so it would be good to initiate complete and undivided but supportive unity throughout the EU with one primary language.
In Ireland we do not need a coalition because it deprives any entity of stability and this past government proves this point. Consequently if any one party cannot win the next election outright then let us have a back up plan with an independent Taoiseach like Mary Robinson. Ms. Robinson has the credentials that no other politician has thus she is a very appropriate choice. By choosing the best representatives from all the parties for a delegated time period to return stability and growth to our wee island of Ireland the new leadership would stand a greater chance of success. It may also behooves us to consider a representation of Northern Irish Parties too as there are recent signs that unity is coming closer to a possibility and this would show distinct signs of camaraderie.
In this digital age there should be greater ease of file exchanging between government agencies especially health authorities than is currently available. Another example is the size of the driving license which is ridiculous and wasteful plus it should not take eight weeks to receive updated or renewed licenses. Government has no excuse to be a dinosaur because it should be leading the way in efficiency and innovation so let the journey commence because we have the tools and the educated people to apply those tools.
Education is an investment in our future and any government depriving its country from advancing by curtailing investments in educational programs may as well take our children and put them underground forever. What kind of mentality is it that thinks investment in education is an expense that should be reduced in order to save money; absolutely ridiculous?
So please new Irish Government please depart from the good old boy type of farmer at the crossroads system of politics where buddies were looked after to the detriment of the big picture. We are really on a global frame and have been for a while now thus we cannot have inept boorish tendencies clouding the views and preventing our expansion towards being a creative innovative country. Everything this new government does needs to have the global impact in its sights and consequently we need to advertise globally attracting the best of the best before they go elsewhere. Thus we need to continue with advances in technology which means we need continuity of effort in our educational systems. Take a look at Monte Negro, Abu Dhabi, Turkey et al and perhaps we may learn from their investment in global advertising assuring industries we are still open for business. Opel Automobile Co touts this neat little exclamation:
Welcome to Change
Welcome to Life!
Ireland and the Politicians need to adopt this as a mantra for a New Ireland!
Isfeidirlinn = Yes we can!
Useful Tip: there are approximately 70 million Irish descendants around the globe so let us set up an Irish Investment Fund specifically aimed towards focusing on promoting industry like advances in Bio-Fuels and aviation to name just two. A prerequisite is a commitment of ten years and a minimum return on investment equal to the average of the fund index. There would have to be a minimum application of five thousand euro and upwards for any significant amount to be attained.
