With most Canadians working online everyday, businesses of every sort are paying close attention to how they ought to make their products available on the Internet and capture client interest online.

Reports suggest that in 2010, households with a higher level of income used the Internet more than those with lower incomes. At the same time, households with individuals under the age of 45 used the Internet the most (94%), while 80% of households with people aged 45 to 65 were online daily. Among seniors, about half used the Internet every day. For seniors over the age of 75, the numbers decreased.

As well, more and more people are engaging businesses through their mobile devices. In 2010, among Internet users in Canada, 33% accessed the Internet from a wireless handheld device. Most of those people were under 35 and most had been using the Internet for at least 10 years.

Reports indicate that, in 2010, 82% of Canadians living in cities and 72% of those living in the country used the Internet every day. These figures underscore how much influence the Internet has on economy.

If customers are using the Internet to engage with significant parts of any business, it is essential for a business owner to see that his or her computer systems are well taken care of.
