Painters Have A Shocking Adventure While Painting A Home

One summer my brother and his best friend who were college roommates at the time decided to work as Tulsa painters for the summer

. They made pretty decent money, but they were in for a lot more adventure than they had bargained for when they signed up for the job.

One day they were working together painting a house when a storm blew in out of nowhere. There were clouds threatening, but it wasn't raining yet so they thought they would just work faster, try to finish the job as quickly as possible, and hope for the best.

The next thing they knew, there was a loud clap of thunder that seemed like it was right on top of them. At this point my brother thought that it would probably be wise to take a break for a while and head in side.

When he went around the house to talk to his friend about taking a break, he discovered that his friend was no longer on the roof. He was lying on the ground next to the house coming back into consciousness.

It turns out that when my brother thought that the lightning had struck really close, he was completely right. His friend had been knocked right off the roof by the force. Fortunately he landed a few feet away from a chain link fence instead of right on top of it. You can only imagine what kind of damage that would have caused.

Instead he was able to walk away with nothing wrong other than a swollen ankle. Having to wear an ankle brace and take ibuprofen doesn't seem like too big of a deal when you think about the fact that you could have died.

One especially interesting tidbit about this situation is that my brother's friend says that ever since his close call with lightning he can survive off of hardly any sleep.

That's a good thing because his current job has him working a lot of nights. It's crazy because now he can work all night long, go to school in the morning, and still have energy to go to the gym when he's done with class.

I am sure that my brother and his friend will never forget the summer that they worked as Tulsa painters and all the adventures that they had, but on the other hand they aren't in a hurry to get that kind of job ever again.
