Google Panda is a change to the Googles search results ranking algorithm that was first released in February 2011
. The change aimed to lower the rank of low-quality sites, and return higher-quality sites near the top of the search results. Its an improvement to Googles search algorithm which helps Google to fight content robbers and spammers.

This Google Panda update is designed to reduce rankings for low quality sitessites which are low-value add for users, copy content from other websites or sites that are just not very useful. Googles new Panda machine-learning algorithm, was made possible by an engineer Navneet Panda, was then used to look for similarities between websites people found to be high quality and low quality.

*Less visiting times on page or site.
*Low percentage of users returning to a site.
*Low click through percentage from Googles result pages.
*Low or no quality inbound links to a page or site.
*Less or no mentions or links to a page or site in social media and from other sites.
Multiple factors will likely be required to get Panda points. Panda points will be added up, cross a threshold (the Panda Line) and all the pages on your site seem to be affected.
