If you want to make money with ads then you won't be able to and instead of you making money Google will be making money from your website. The ads are mainly how you are paying to have a free internet hosting site and so that's why you have them. If you pay for hosting then there is a chance you might not have ads on the site and can display your own if you would like but just be careful how you do that because sometimes ads can cause the visitor to leave the site.

Software is something else that you need to take into consideration. Most hosting packages have software that you can use but with Google you can only use the software that they provide. Sometimes the software that they have might be enough depending on what kind of site that you have but if you have a business or if you plan on doing with a lot with your site then sometimes you might need to use third party software and you won't be able to do that when you have hosting with Google.

Sometimes prices might seem very good but they might end up having bad service or other things might not be good. Going with a hosting company that has been established and been around for years plus has affordable prices is very much available these days. It just requires some research and finding out what is the best one for you to have.
