Poultry is considered an important source of the animal protein throughout the globe and are considered the most intensive species for rearing. There are a number of ways in which there is a big use of poultry products like butter, bread, bakery items, and other recipes.

The poultry farming in India has a vital importance because the eggs and chicken meat are rich and cheaper sources of vitamins, minerals, and protein. Poultry farming in India is an excellent source of income and provides employment to millions of farmers and other persons that are engaged in activities associated with the poultry industry. Chicken is widely accepted in India as compared to beef or pork because it does not raise any religious issue.

Today people are considering poultry business as a career. Although poultry farming includes husbandry and stock, tools, medicines and human power. The chief products are eggs and broilers. Some of the basic poultry products that are popularly used are Emu Oil, Emu Meat, etc.

It is said that the Poultry Industry in India is almost 5,000 years old. But it was not given much importance in the early days. All development in Poultry Industry is made possible in the last 40 years. Now Indian poultry industry is well established and has worldwide importance.
