Primerica Complaints- The Key Elements to Building a Primerica Business

Primerica is a direct sales network marketing organization and a division of Citigroup

. They claim that they have been in existence for 30 years. During that period, you are sure to find satisfied Primerica reps and unhappy ex-Primerica reps. Personally, I am writing this editorial from an objective viewpoint because not only am I not a Primerica rep, but I also have never personally known any person who has been involved with the company. However, I have read over 20 complaints and rebuttals and have come to the following opinion which I now offer to you.

The bulk of the complaints against Primerica stem around the idea that reps got into the business expecting one thing and then something completely different happened. In nearly every instance that I could read, this is the long and short of the story. It's near impossible to uncover if the issue was a misleading by the recruiting rep or merely a unrealistic expectation by the new recruit- or maybe a bit of both. However, the one truth that seems to be frequent was that the new recruit did not accomplish the level of accomplishment they were hoping to attain at the start.

This is a normal problem with almost all network marketers as the failure rate is reported at 97%. The reason for this may vary from person to person, but generally, the obstacle is that most network marketers really have little marketing training or know-how. They do not know how to produce a list of potential customers/prospects other than to simply create a list of people that they know and ask others to do the exact same thing. They lack, for the most part, experience turning leads into sales and building a business relationship without coming off as desperate. Now, this of course in not the situation with all of those involved, but the huge majority fall into this class and thus, the soaring rate of attrition. As for the Primerica complaints that I reviewed, it certainly appears that this scenario was frequent.

It is possible for someone to thrive in Primerica, or any other network marketing company, without a great amount of familiarity but it takes persistence, commitment, and tutoring. It also demands close mentoring and coaching. Coincidentally, these are the same attributs that someone getting involved in ANY business or industry will need. So if you want to succeed, here's my advice:

Get educated (ignorance will kill you)

Get a mentor (run on a track with prior results)

Get motivated (determine WHY you are building this business)

Get to work (success only comes before work in the dictionary)

Get excited (you need to have fun)

No one has ever thrived that didn't have all of these bases covered. Finally, if you are not excited about being asked to recruit your family and friends, you may want to think about an automated internet system. If you are new to the realm of being self-employed, this is a method to get started online (where you don't need to rely on relatives for sales and referrals) without needing a huge budget and risking your financial future. Then, if you find that entrepreneurship is for you, expand into larger opportunities.
