Purestream Technology Adopts The Tracker For Their Trilogy Solution
Purestream Technology has developed what they call the Trilogy Solution with the
goal of improving the efficiency and environmental impact of the oil and gas production industry. One part of the new technology is called the Tracker system. It tracks all the waste water transactions and ensures that as little is being wasted as possible, continuing with Purestream's goal of complete efficiency.
The first part of the Tracker is the remote oil field service monitoring system which is a kiosk that is connected to a water containment tank. There is a computer within the kiosk that scans the contents of the water tank in order to measure its volume, turbidity and the amount of condensate in the water. Authorized truck drivers take water from the tank after entering their identification numbers into the kiosks keypad. The kiosk then measure records how much water the driver takes while as similar tracking device in the truck collects data about the incoming water and the water tank. This system allows Purestream to control the exchange of the very valuable condensate.
After filling the truck with water at the remote oil field, the driver then moves to the offload location to empty the truck at the second part of the Tracker system. For maximum reliability, the offload location is placed in areas where there are stable power sources and internet connections. Similar to the remote location, the driver enters his ID number into the offload location kiosk, which proceeds to collect the date from the truck about the water being offloaded. Once the transaction is complete a picture is taken of the driver and a ticket is printed which contains all the data from the transaction. That same data is also uploaded to the third part of Purestream's Tracker system.
All the data that has been collected up to this point is uploaded to a secure portion of the internet where Pure stream has access and can analyze it. If anything ever happens out of the ordinary, analysts call look at the data in several different forms and combinations in search of relationships and answers. The different pieces of data that can be combined are the volume of water, volume of condensate, turbidity, driver ID, truck number, trailer number, location and transaction ID. They can be viewed in graphical form or in a data grid by Purestream's analysts.
In making a demonstrative video about the Tracker system, Richard Shillander, the Technology Development Director for Vital Vu said, "This is a Paradigm shift in most oil and gas field data processing systems. It's a true electronic ticketing process and data management service. Its 100% web based, so there are no large scale servers that need to be purchased or need to be maintained," With efficiency as their focal point, Pure stream is more able to reach cost and planet saving goals because of the Tracker.
