Reasons For Acne Eruptions
Basically acne is an inflammation of the skin caused by changes in our biological system
. When changes occur in the pilosebaseous units in the skin, the skin reacts with these acne eruptions. Commonly we see the variant 'acne vulgaris' manifest itself mostly in adolescents and teenagers.
The skin reacts to excessive oil production by the skin glands in the form of acne. The excessive secretion of oil combines with the dead skin cells and blocks the hair follicles. This blockage causes the reaction. Externally, eating too much deep fried food aggravates the problem.
Usually areas of our body like the face, chest, back and the arms get affected. When oil is secreted excessively and the skin's pores get blocked, the condition best favors an undeterred multiplication of bacteria in those areas. And it is this bacterial growth that the skin responds to by way of inflammations. These inflammations or lesions cause rashes all over.
Acne manifestations may be different depending on their seriousness. Usually they are dull yellow or transparent white bumps or even black ones. But if the inflammation is more and rashes start appearing, they may look like reddish swellings. Even when you have successfully gotten rid of the bumps, you may have another task of ridding your skin of its scars.
When excessive oil is produced, the hormones increase in the body causing acne to show. These hormonal changes occur under other conditions too like puberty. In puberty, the testosterone hormone receives an abnormal response and this hormonal change reacts in the same way. But the duration of an acne flare up can never be determined for certain nor can it be guaranteed that it will never recur.
Acne having its effects on both physical and psychological realms of the human body cannot be ignored. So proper care should be taken and the problem dealt with at the earliest.
