Under the hood of aggressive strategy to enhance its stake in the Indian car market

Renault has unveiled its third member Renault Pulse in its portfolio. With an aim to cover the mass audience the French auto biggie has made an attempt to deliver the best product at an affordable price. Renault has forayed the Indian market with its sedan Renault Fluence and later enhance its stable with its SUV Renault Koleos. In order to emerge as an independent identity Renault is targeting the every car segment. After launching a sedan and SUV, the French giant is looking to enter the small car segment with its Pulse. Keeping the mass audience in mind Renault has tagged its hatchback very lucrative. Renault Pulse price in India is likely to be Rs 6,50,000.

Renault Pulse is already available in the International market but India would witness it for the first time as the small entry car of Renault. The new hatchback is fully loaded with all necessary and luxury features to suit the requirements of Indian customers. Like Nissan Micra, Renault Pulse is also based on V platform that render that both the hatchback share some common attributes. Though the car is a Small hatchback it is quite spacious and roomy. The interiors of the car adorns with HVAC (Heater, Ventilation and air conditioner), power windows, power steering, remote central locking, leather seats, rear defogger and steering mounted controls.

Besides the fact that Renault Pulse will be designed on the similar platform of Nissan Micra, but still this new hatchback hope to create its own identity in the market. The car is blessed with new body color bumpers, small bonnet, unique body panels and front hexagonal grille. With its tall appearance and Thick C pillar the car gives the resemblance of Maruti Ritz. Renault is looking to lure the customers with its looks and gain the benefit as much as they can.

Technically, the small hatchback will come powered by 1.2L three cylinder petrol engine that generates the power up to 75 bhp, while the diesel variant is powered by a 1.5L K9K Diesel that produce the power of 64 bhp. Renault is looking to provide full localization to the customers as the K9K engine is manufacturing in its Oragadam plant located in the Outskirts of Chennai. It is expected that Renault Pulse will be available in 7 shades.
