Roommate Can't Stop Raving About Cape Cod Tourist Attractions
My first year of college I had a roommate who had just finished spending the summer
working in Boston, and could not stop talking about the Nantucket and Cape Cod tourist attractions she had visited while she was there. She was head over heels for these historical New England sites.
She talked about it so much that the rest of my roommates were about ready to throw her out if they ever heard anything about her trip again, but I have to admit that she had me intrigued. Obviously she wouldn't be reminiscing about her summer stay in Boston all the time unless it was a truly amazing place.
She made it sound like the time she spent doing Nantucket and Cape Cod travel had completely changed her life, and I believe that in some ways it actually had.
My roommate came back from the east coast with a great appreciation for hydrangeas. It brought back memories for me of my childhood when I had lived in Maryland and we had beautiful hydrangea bushes growing in our back yard.
My roommate loved these beautiful flowers so much that she decided to purchase one. It was so cute how she worked to make sure it was happy and healthy in its new dryer climate. She would always put it in the bathroom while she was showering so that she could be sure that it was receiving all the moisture that our low humidity climate could possibly offer.
I am sure showering with plants wasn't a life change that she anticipated transitioning into before her trip, but it was certainly a way of life for her when she got back.
I remember that she would also rave about Nantucket Nectars all the time. I think that these conversations are really what just about pushed the rest of my roommates over the edge. After all, how could one brand of fruit juice be so amazing just because of the location where it is produced?
Nonetheless, she had me thinking that it would be fun to spend some time there so that I could even just once in my life have the experience of drinking Nantucket Nectars in beautiful Nantucket.
I haven't made it to check out all of the Cape Cod tourist attractions that I spent that school year hearing about yet, but I definitely wouldn't mind being able to go there with my husband some day for the ultimate beautiful and romantic getaway.
