Satisfying your TV Addiction without Paying 100s of Dollars a Month

Many people, my self included, are constantly seacrhing for a less costly way of satisfying their television addiction. I say "addiction" because let's be honest folks, most of us wouldn't know what to do with ourselves with out being tapped in to "the tube" for countless hours during our free time. That being said, why should we have to spend so much of our hard-earned money on it.? In the last 6 months I switched services three times and I was still paying way too much money every time I switched. I went in one huge circle, from Directv to Comcast to AT&T U-Verse, and then back to Comcast. My favorite of the three is no doubt Directv, but when you start adding up all the extra "premier" packages, you're talking about paying the same cost as a monthly car payment. I could go on all day with my complaints and grievances, but I think you know exactly what I'm talking about. So now for the good news!

My next-door neighbor recently informed me that he no longer pays to watch TV in his household, and I thought to myself it was something shady or illegal, some kind of hack or something where he got free cable or satellite. It turns out he wasn't doing anything shady or illegal at all. He told me he paid a one-time fee of about $50 and he now has access to over 3,000 channels from all around the world. It was very hard for me to believe, so I said "Yeah Right! Whats the catch?" He then said "come inside so you can see for yourself."

The way he was able to pay just 50 bucks for lifetime access was through buying a program that sends satellite channels to his PC. My first reaction was a bit of disappointment because i thought to myslef, yeah, its great you only pay $50 once, but who wants to watch TV on a tiny computer screen. Turns out he didn't have to watch it on his PC monitor. He showed me that there was a cable running from his computer to his TV that allowed him to watch the over 3000 channels on his 46" LED TV in HD. It's called a HDMI to VGA adapter cable. He had me sold at that point, so I bought the program and the adapter cable and now I no longer have to pay the cost of a car payment to feed my addiction to TV.
