School Bullying Is Just Not Cool

School Bullying Is Just Not Cool

If one really takes a look at the school bully what is he or she trying to portray? Could it be that they are striking out because they are angry? Or could it be that they are trying to bring attention to themselves? Then again it just may be that they are trying to fit in and with a lack of social skills have resorted to the bully persona, just to be cool.

The fact of the matter is school bullying could be the result of any of these reasons and a whole lot more. With so many adults suffering from anger management problems and stress burn outs is it any wonder that we have school bullies.

It also has to be remembered that if school bullying is to be brought under control effectively that it has to be approached from both sides. First the victim of the bully has to be effectively dealt with to not only undo the damage that has been created by just one episode of being pushed around but in how to deal with future situations.

Then the other side of the coin is to get inside of the head of the school bully and determine the triggers that have caused this type of unacceptable social behavior. Finally with some aggressive approaches to both sides of this very troublesome problem then some progress can be made.

Ironically there is no one class of individuals that are prone to becoming the victim with the exception of those young kids that are perceived to be someone that you don't want to mess with. These are usually those outgoing well build can take care of themselves youngsters. A trait of a school bully is most commonly a young person who is considered weak in the sight of others either physically or mentally.

Even famous celebrities are not excluded from the bully scene. In a past incident Justin Bieber was the victim of bullying at an entertainment venue where he was enjoying a game of lazer tag. This young star of course has the advantage of a bodyguard because of his fame and notoriety, but over and above this he still made a stand. By releasing a public announcement he encouraged those that that witness a bullying event to become involved. This is a message that will hold impact hopefully with many youngsters as this young celebrity is know by a multitude of young ones that readily fall into the bullying age.

All to often school bullies enjoy their control over others because it is simply not challenged. So whether school bullying is a learned or inherited behavior, it doesn't matter the message has to be put out to say NO! to school bullying.
