Scientific Career: The Way To Be The Best Lecturer

One of the perspectives of the scientific career is to become a lecturer at the university

. It is a good chance to work in a dynamic atmosphere. As a lecturer you will have day-to-day communication with young people and will feel young at heart as well. Obviously, a lecturer does a lot of good for students, if he delivers the subject clearly and attracts students interest to study a discipline. It is a controversial question whether a good lecturer has to be more loyal or to keep tight reins on his/her students.

Before answering this question, remember your years of study. If you had a discipline that you did not even think to skip and was really caught up with the new information, remind yourself a lecturer you had. Afterwards, keep in your mind the image of the best lecturer and try to become a favorite one among your students.

There are some tips on how to get prepared for the lectures and raise interest in your discipline among students:

1.Tell funny stories

If the material of the discipline is tough enough, it is a good way to make a minute break and tell any funny story, for instance, about your years of study. In such way a lecturer becomes closer to his/her audience and keeps students attention

2.Search for a clear material for your lectures

Do not overload your lectures with difficult terms. Explain the material using a plain language.

3.Prepare PPT presentations

Nowadays it is a common trend to deliver lectures using PPT presentations with graphs and illustrations. For the audience it will be easier to remember the material.

4.Be strict enough

Even using jokes during the lectures, any teacher has to be demanding and strict enough. From the first class a lecturer has to demonstrate his/her requirements. It will be in favor for students, as they will have more responsible attitude to studies.
