Your self belief has a huge impact on your every day life as an entrepreneur. Self belief is defined as the "confidence in your own abilities or judgment". In business you have beliefs about customers, about money, about sales people and about what is "right" and what is "wrong". So if you believe cold calling is the best way to get new sales and I believe that up selling to existing customers is the best way then that's your belief and that's my belief that we individually hold to be true.
As an entrepreneur belief has a huge impact on your attitude. Remember what you believe is entirely up to you which in turn means that your attitude is also a choice. If you want to be successful in business you need to define the set of beliefs that you need to have in order to achieve that success. It's easier to define these winning beliefs now, as you can look at others who are achieving the success that you are working towards and research their beliefs. However even after identifying these success beliefs some people can still hit a roadblock. This barrier is created because people fundamentally still believed that you are born with certain beliefs and they do not realize the possibility of training your brain.
The language we use as an entrepreneur has a huge impact on our self belief. Listen carefully to the language you use, the thoughts you have and the thoughts that your mind is auto suggesting to you. Beliefs translate into the words can and can't. If you believe that you can do something then it's most likely that you will do it. If you believe that you can't do something then its most likely that you won't even leave the starting blocks.

Beliefs can empower you and dis empower you. You have "if then, beliefs" for example "if I work hard then I will get that promotion" and "if I keep advertising on the radio then new customers will come to my store". We also have global beliefs for example "people are basically good" or "people are a nuisance". A useful exercise is to write down your beliefs it is fascinating to see how they help or hinder you. Be sure to question your dis empowering beliefs with a view to eliminating them.
