Self Defense-the Perils Of Being Hit By A Pager-a Pepper Pager

There you are walking alone in the underground parking garage where you work late at night minding your own business

. Suddenly you hear someone approaching from behind and you get that creepy feeling that makes the hairs on the back your back stand on end. The footsteps get closer and you hear a polite voice say "excuse me, could you tell me what time it is?"

You reach down on your belt and take off an item that looks just like your pager and hold it up at the guy and tell him to "back off". He does nothing except laugh and ask " what are you going to do throw your pager at me?". So you press the button and a 10% solution of oleoresin capsicum (OC) , better known as pepper spray goes flying his way. Your aim is excellent even at 12 feet away and you hit him in the face.

The first thing he does is scream from the pain. Then his eyes start tearing up and within a few seconds they begin to swell from the excessive tearing. But it's not over. He tries to rub the spray away from his face and in so doing, grinds it into his face making it worse. Too bad partner. Then he has difficulty breathing and is gasping for air. Again, too bad.

Fortunately, one of your coworkers hears the screaming and comes to your aid. . He takes out his cell phone and calls the police who arrive a few minutes later to take the guy in the custody. As it turns out the guy has a record and has been molesting women in the neighborhood for months but they've never been able to catch him.

Such are the perils of being hit by a pager-not any pager-the pepper pager.

When are you getting one?

If you think crime can only happen to the other guy you are wrong. The "other guy" is thinking the same thing and to him you are that "other guy". There is a reason why they call it self defense. You have to protect yourself, your family, your home and business!!

Chances are if you are reading this that crime has touched your life in some way or you consider yourself at risk. Take the next step and do something to protect yourself! Your life and safety is worth far more than the cost of home security device.
