Remember: it is less expensive to pay for regular heating maintenance than to take out a new home refinancing loan to pay for a new furnace! The only thing worse than being caught without AC in the summertime is being stuck without heat in the wintertime. Be sure to inspect your heat system at least once each year. It is always a smart idea to buy winter tools like snow shovels and ice melt earlier in the season because supplies are often gone once the snow comes.
