Shine In Interviews
The present scenario at times appears to be a jungle to me in which everybody is running as fast as possible
. The professional life is indeed no less. Everybody strives very hard to outshine the competition. Interviews play a crucial part in this entire act. The one who sails through an interview smoothly, reaches to the paramount position.
1. Do the Research: Before going for an interview, do the entire research about the company. Go on the companys website and get to know what does the company deals into. Do the basic home study and have a look at its history. When was it founded, who was the founder, how big was the company then and how big is it today? This will help you impress the interviewer at the time off interview.
2. Be formally dressed: Your attire makes a lot of difference in the interview. Be formally dressed and wear a tie if it is not a scorching summer. The sharp formal dress not only gives an impression of your confidence but also makes you feel confident about yourself. It is very crucial for an interview that you wear well ironed clothes.
3. Do not drench yourself in perfume: Many people have to use a body deodorant and perfumes to keep body order at bay. However many people make a mistake of using excess of perfume, especially when going for an interview. Let me tell you that it is not a very wise act. In fact, it might just turn your interview into a bizarre. You might like the fragrance of your perfumes but the interviewer may not. And if your luck is not with you, he or she might be allergic to artificial fragrance. In that case the entire ambience will be against you.
4. Be confident: It is very important to be very confident in your job interview. A smart guy may fail in the interview in the absence of confidence and a not so good candidate with apt confidence may sail through very well. The confidence you carry with yourself is undoubtedly seen by the interviewer.
5. Talking about further education: While talking about your plans for further education training you must be very careful. Assure them that you wouldnt leave the company for your further education training. Be honest and tell them that you will pursue the same through online mode of training or through correspondence.
6. Mind your body posture and gestures: It is very important to know what body postures and gestures convey about you. Every action of yours gets noticed inside the interview room by an expert or psychologist who sits their quietly throughout your interview. The way you sit, the way you talk and the way you express yourself tells a lot about you. So be very careful while you are inside the room. Shake hands must neither be suppressive nor should it be very liberal. Keep it straight.
