The Socrates WordPress Theme... Just another waste of money. Or so I thought... More on that in a minute though.If you've been blogging for any length of time, you remember when WordPress themes used to be free. All free! It didn't matter how many features or buttons or widgets they had - they were free.When magazine themes came out, they were the rage. People all of a sudden starting paying big money for them. To have a site that was set up like CNN, you had to pay for it. On the flipside, the premium WordPress themes were usually way easier to set up and administer.Are themes like the Socrates WordPress Theme worth the investment?The first time I checked out Socrates WordPress Theme, I was a bit baffled. I had been around WordPress for a while, but never really got into affiliate marketing. Now, this theme claims that if I use it and put it through the paces, I can finally start to make some money online.Don't get me wrong, I like making money on my sites. In fact, that's the reason I started blogging in the first place. My best days are the ones that advertisers email me to see how much a banner on my site will cost.It's for that reason that I bought the Socrates WordPress Theme. Let me tell you, I was a hesitant as you are. I didn't know if I was throwing my money away or what. I just thought that maybe, just maybe, I'd be able to squeeze a few extra bucks out of my site a day.Now, the Socrates WordPress theme isn't going to make you rich. But it will give you a pretty solid foundation for building a site that ranks in the search engines quickly and looks good. And when you have those two things, advertisers and affiliate commissions just soft of happen!To me, that's what having a blog and making money online is all about. It's about friendships and family and being able to enjoy both of them more. If I can spend a little more time with them everyday, that's all I can ask for!The bad thing about the Socrates WordPress Theme? The time it takes to set it up. Granted, that's both a blessing and a curse! It takes a few extra minutes to set up and tweak the theme, but at least you have the options available to you! The free templates have NO customizability... Socrates is all about customization!
