Determine if your solar fence lights mount sideways or upright

Some designs of fence solar lighting can be installed either vertically or horizontally. Other solar fence lights designs do best if they are mounted upright at the top edge of the fence. Some of this depends on how the built-in solar panel on the fence solar lighting is positioned. The solar fence lights' solar panel should be aimed toward the sun as much as possible.

Make sure your fence solar lighting will get enough light
