Tea is obtained from a plant named Camellia sinensis

. There are four types of tea except the herbal ones and they are White, Green, Oolong and Black Tea; they differ from each other due to processing and oxidization, while White and Green are non oxidized whereas Oolong is semi Oxidized and the Black is fully Oxidized.

White tea is the least processed one and is very rare to find. It is not oxidized at all and the leaves are just left to dry in the air in its original form. The taste of this tea is grassy. It has the highest amount of antioxidants and the least amount of caffeine present in it. Silver Needle is a type of it with a mild sweet taste.

Green tea is similar to white one and is also non oxidized. The difference between the two is that the green one uses rolled leaves and the white one uses the buds of the plant. The taste of both the teas is very similar to each other. Again this tea also has high amount of antioxidants and least amount of caffeine. Types of green are Jin Xian Te Jian and Hojicha.

Oolong tea is semi oxidized and is the process of this one is the most difficult out of the four teas. The leaves are thrown into the baskets so that full oxidation would not occur and only the edges of the leaves are opened to air. Types of Oolong are Pouchong and Formosa.

Black is the most popular in the world. It contains the highest amount of caffeine and less of antioxidants. It is fully oxidized. Types of Black are Darjeeling and Ceylon tea.
