Most of the time these are people who have been cement truck operators or florists, etc. the truth is that these people don't know anything about finance, accounting marketing, etc. they may be really good at what they do but the truth is that they just want to do what they do and therefore they get stuck because they don't really know how to run a business.

This problem can be solved by hiring a management team. In every team there should be someone in charge of operations, accounting, finance and marketing. If you are the entrepreneur and would like to work with the flowers, then put yourself in charge of operations. But if you want to have a successful business then find competent individuals who can help with the other functions.

Another common reason that companies struggle is they do not focus enough time and energy on the internet. The world is quickly growing out of the age of "going shopping" younger consumers would much rather sit at home on their computers researching the products and services they would like to buy and then going out intentionally and buying it.


This means that a company must have a website if it would like to do future business with the main sector of future consumers. If your business does not currently have a website then you will need to get one and come up with an online marketing plan so that people can find you online. There are a lot of companies out there which can help with this.
