Sometimes Slower Is Better When You Are Trying To Reconnect With An Ex Girlfriend

We definitely live in a world where we like things to happen as fast as they can

. We live our meals to come in 5 minutes. We like to get our information in a matter of seconds. We measure our cars by how quickly they can get from 0-60. Yet, there are some things that need to happen a little bit slower. You wouldn't try to marinate a steak in 30 seconds, it needs hours for the flavor to soak in. Well, when it comes to relationships, there are times when moving slower can actually be way better for you.

A good example of this is when you are trying to reconnect with a girl you used to date. When you are hoping to reach out to an ex girlfriend and somehow get her thinking about dating you again, it can be easy to fall into that trap of thinking that it has to happen fast. You want it to happen that way. You don't want to have to go through weeks of wondering what might happen or what she is really thinking. You certainly don't want to wait that long and then find out that you don't have a chance of getting back with her.

Yeah, it can be easy to fall into the assumption that you have to speed things up if you are trying to reconnect with an ex girlfriend. However, that might end up being the wrong assumption and that could lead you down the wrong path.

When you are trying to reconnect with someone, you can't just force your way back into their lives. Chances are good that some things have changed since you were dating her. Her life may be different now than it was before,, and if you try to rush into getting back with her, you might find that you just don't seem to fit into that new life that she has.

However, if you do take things a little bit slower, you might find that in time, you DO fit back into her life again and if you do - you'll probably end up getting her back. Plus, you'll definitely score bonus points with her for showing that you can be patient and that you are not going to try and rush her into doing anything that she doesn't want to do.

How bad would you feel if you were to look back and realize that the main reason you were unable to reconnect with your ex girlfriend was because you were trying to make it happen too quickly? You don't want to do that. Instead take your time to get to know her again. Give her some time to get to know you again as well. Find out if you really can fit back into her life. After all, if she really is the one that you would like to end up with, she'd be well worth the wait, right?
