Standard Chartered Hosts The Inaugural Edition Of Its South Asia Golf Tournament
: The inaugural edition of the Standard Chartered South Asia Golf Tournament will
get underway on November 24th and 25th and will play host to leading corporate leaders and industry captains from around the sub continent. This tournament will be competed over two days at the Aamby Valley Golf Resort on November 24 followed by the second day at Oxford Golf Resorts, Pune.
Captains of the corporate world from Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal and around India will come together in this new fixture on the golfing calendar.
The 80 players consisting of various corporate dignitaries will compete in the Stableford points format over 18 holes on the first day in three handicap categories to determine the Corporate Champions of South Asia. The second day will see a friendly format, played over 18 holes. A number of skill contests such as longest drive, closest to pin, straightest drive etc will keep the interest factor high.
Among those in action include Sunil Kaushal, Regional Chief Executive, India and South Asia, Standard Chartered Bank; Aditya Khaitan, Director, McNally Bharat Engineering Company Limited who recently represented India at the World Corporate Golf Challenge in South Africa; David D'souza, Director, Garden City Fashions of Bangalore and recent winner of the prestigious Duke of Edinburgh Cup Golf in London.
