Being the boss means making demanding decisions every day of the week, but they are your decisions and, unlike when you toil for others, you in reality get to make them! Be vigilant when operating your own business - for definite you plan to make money, but not at all costs. What are the costs of business compared with just being an employee? You have more duty to yourself, your household and staff if you have any - they are all reliant on you for their economic security. Scary! Operating your own business repeatedly means running longer hours and you may well not make any wealth from working those long hours where before you may have got paid per hour/day. A guaranteed salary!
However having lots of money in the bank is a relief.
Were you one of those in education? Who's class report said..."Nothing good will come out of this person!" What a feeling that would be to go back into your old school and say to your old teacher - "look I am running my own business now - how's the lessons going these days?"
In reality there are always a mix of features at work and no 2 particular entrepreneur conform to the same pattern; in a considerable organization people become institutionalized although with your own business you get to do things your own way and motivate the staff you have (assuming you have any).
