It used to be that creating a business was a labor intensive and expensive task

, but with the advent of the Internet & computer technology anyone can be an entrepreneur with only minimal startup capital. If you have a personal computer, a few hundred dollars, and the will to start a business and you can be your own boss. While not every online business is successful and can provide the funds necessary to sustain a person or family, there are always exceptions and the quality online businesses do have the ability to generate a large amount of money. So what can you do to start your own online business? The first thing you'll need for online business is a computer. Even before you have an idea you will need a computer for obvious reasons. Even the greatest of ideas cannot take flight if you don't have the essential tools to get the site off the ground. So I suggest doing some research if you don't already have a computer, or even if you do, to find a laptop or desktop that will be able to fulfill your business needs. The next thing you need is an idea. If you happen to have your idea before you have your computer then that might be a good thing because in will allow you to tailor the type of computer that you will need for your business, but typically that only really applies for specific businesses that might require heavy graphics, sound editing, or something else that your typical laptop might not be best suited for. Once you have your idea firmly in place you will need to find someone to host your website, and you will need to purchase your domain name. Their many places that you can go online to purchase a domain name all you need to do is run a simple search to find them. The total cost of purchasing a domain name and toasting your site for a year can cost as little as around $100. Once you had your site domain and hosting you will need to produce the site itself which can be done quite easily using outside software for hosting a blog or hosting a sales driven site. Again you will have to do some of the legwork to find out which software will be best for you, but I think that you will find that most of these applications are relatively inexpensive to run. Now all you need to do is promote your website can keep everything updated.
