Steps on Installing a Pool Table

Pool table installation entails a careful procedure to ensure that the process is carried out effectively. You can ask help from family and friends in installing a pool table. Here are some useful steps to help you install a pool table properly.

The first step is to ensure that there are at least two strong people to help you in carrying the table to the location where it will be installed. Be sure to pick the best location where there is ample space for playing pool. Check if you pool table you have purchased is a pieced slate or a single slate. You can choose a pool table with single slate since it is more suitable for home use and doesn't need special installation which a pieced slate table usually requires.

The table has three primary parts which include the slate, the body and the legs. Once you have these parts, you should first attach the legs with the bolts that come with it. Flip the body on its side and bolt the legs to it. You can see brackets under the pool table where you will secure the legs to. Be sure to bolts are tight on each of the four corners before turning the table back to its legs.

Then, put the slate to each bracket inside the table. Clean your hands thoroughly before doing this step and be cautious so that you won't put any mark or blemish on the cloth. After this, you can now attach the top frame which is separate from the pool table and attached with little hooks around its perimeter. You should use the help of two or more people when guiding the top frame to the hooks very carefully. After the attachment, you should attach two small guide ropes to connect the table and top frame so that these are secured in place. Close the top frame down to the pool table.

Finally, you have to secure the top frame in the right place by reaching beneath the table through small holes around the perimeter. Lock it to place with the use of the clasps. Be careful while doing this so that your hand or fingers will not be caught.
