Stop Wasting Your Time Jogging - These Exercises Will Burn Fat 10x Faster
If you've been told that you need to jog every day on a treadmill for an hour to lose weight
, you've been duped! But don't take my word for it, just look at all the people wasting their lives away on the treadmill every time you go to the gym. Do they ever look any different?
Their bodies don't change no matter how much they jog, and yours won't either. Instead, do these exercises to burn more fat in much less time.
Start Sprinting And Stop Slow Jogging
Many women think that the easiest way to burn off the fat is to hop on that treadmill and start pounding out miles at a slow pace. If they cover a couple miles in an hour, they feel like they've done their duty and can check that box off their list.
Unfortunately for them, slow jogging for a long time is one of the worst ways to lose weight out there. If you've fallen into this trap then this will be your wake up call. Jogging at a moderate pace for an hour is fairly unhealthy for your body, plus it won't burn near the calories (overall) as a good sprinting workout. Moderate exercise for an extended period of time actually increases free radicals in your body and is hard on your joints. Plus it actually doesn't strengthen your heart hardly at all.
Instead of your usual jog, start sprinting every couple days and you'll reap these benefits:
1. You'll spend a lot less time working out. You can get a full body workout sprinting in just 20-30 minutes, and it has much more fat burning potential than an hour jogging. Plus, since it's harder on your muscles, you should only spring once every two days or so. Doing it every day can actually hinder your weight loss goals. So realistically you can get more done in one-third of the time, how's that for efficient?
2. Your metabolism will increase for a much longer period of time if you sprint rather than jog. This means that your body will be burning extra calories for you on auto-pilot 24/7 while you recover from your workouts.
3. Sprinting is very taxing on the whole body, and especially your heart. Now obviously you should check with your physician if you think intense activity may hurt you, but when you sprint (or at least run hard) it will greatly strengthen your heart.
Get Into A Weight-Lifting Routine
Along with sprinting if you start lifting weights you will lose weight even faster. When you do an intense weight lifting workout a couple times per week, your metabolism will greatly increase. Not only from the exertion on your muscles during the workout, but your lean muscle mass will increase, which will burn calories for you while you're not working out.
Yes, even women should focus on weight lifting. The biggest myth is that you'll get huge if you even touch a dumbbell or any kind of free weights. The truth is that it's extremely hard (even for men) to bulk up and get big. Not lifting weights will only hinder you from achieving your weight loss goals.
