Take Control of Your Romance Get the Confidence you Need
Do you lose control and no longer want to speak your mind when you become involved with a man? Are you always ceding the reins to him and you think it's time you took control in your next relationship? Does the thought of saying what you really think scare you because you think you'll be wrong? Few relationships really find that perfect balance of give and take, but you want to aim to get at least an equilibrium you'll be comfortable with.
Chances are you've gotten into the habit of falling for guys who are outspoken and who enjoy being in control. You probably sit back and submissively let them guide you along. You need to break that habit and veer towards guys who'll be happy to hear what you have on your mind.
You can start out slow if you're still feeling uncomfortable with the notion of giving your opinion. Mention a movie you'd like to see, or tell him of the new restaurant you'd like to try. Don't make the mistake of being flattered when he insists on see you Friday even though you've told him you can't. That's not love. That's simply a man who wants to own you.
The man who is truly interested in your happiness will be more than happy to listen to you suggestions. In fact, if you've been holding back, there's a good chance he might have grown weary of making all the decisions. He's probably been longing for you to speak up and say what you really want.
He'll be relieved to see you do have opinions of your own and you'll be happy to have things go your way for once. Take control of your romance and you'll both be better off.
