The zodiac is divided into 12 houses which start from the Aries sign. Each of these zodiacs has their ruler or the planets that are associated to them. These planets are said to have some similarity in energy with its ruler. A planet is supposed to express its energy in its most natural and straightforward way through the sign that it is ruling. Each one has a zodiac sign but the effect is determined by the position of the planets in the sign.

As indicated by the zodiac, a persons personality is different from that of the other. This is because of the position of the ruling planets and the stars when we were born. Another reason for this are the different experiences that each of have encountered throughout our lives.

The sun is the ruler of Leo. The sun represents the persons ego and the physical life energy. As the heart of the horoscope, wherever it is found is where the person wants to shine. It is said that the position of the sun in ones natal chart tells of the way a Leo radiates energy towards the events in his/her life.

Aries is ruled by the planet Mars. The glyph of the Arian is the sun with an arrow which describes how a person asserts the self and the ego. It also represents the survival factor and the sexuality of the Arian.

Venus, on the other hand is associated with the Taurus and Libra signs. The planet has been known as the goddess of love and beauty. As such, it is related with love and personal relationships, also with arts and fashion. The planet encourages generosity and tactfulness. However, there are also possibilities of possessiveness.

Mercury is the ruling planet of the sign Gemini. This planet allows a person to think, discriminate, move about, and express the self. This is also called the animator of movement and was associated with the nervous system. The planet has the tendency to make a person verbose and critical.

Virgo, as ruled by the planet Mercury, is a feminine negative mutable earth sign. People under the Virgo sign are said to be blessed with an eye for detail. Pluto rules over the sign Scorpio. The energies of Pluto are very intense and when set free can actually challenge an entire life, be it for good or evil. These energies are sometimes seen as destructive but it is not. It is actually beauty being returned into itself.

Sagittarius is under the planetary rule of Jupiter. In mythology, Jupiter is the ruler of the Gods. He is also the guardian and protector. People born under the Sagittarius sign are perceived to be blessed with huge amount of wealth, development, and good luck. They also possess traits like justice, morality, joviality, and high aims ideals.
