Disadvantage 2: No flexible hours. Since summer classes don't normally last for an entire day, you can still be able to enjoy the summer sun and atmosphere. Normally, a summer class would only occupy four hours of the time everyday. This is something you will definitely miss if you are unemployed. Some summer jobs require longer hours in the office or in the workplace. So, you can't definitely feel the summer since you are still working say for eight hours a day and can even led to overtime.

Disadvantage 3: Not an easy task. As a substitute teacher it is still pressured even in a summer season. Normally, substitute teachers are given the privilege of choosing a topic they would want to lecture, and the times they want to carry on. Therefore, it can prove that the classes would surely be a breeze at the end. However, if you were hired by one, then that job can be very difficult. Much more school work is still hard regardless of season.

It is not surprising that many seize such an opportunity, because it is indeed very convenient and can really support them during that season in a way.
