The first thing that you want to do with your link building is to get content up on your website that others can link to
. When you do your linking pick the main keywords that you want to link first and then just work down your list.
You're going to have a main keyword that you will work around and the other ones will be your secondary keywords that you will work with. This is a well known story that I have heard that I'll repeat. You just have to be just a little bit better than the person you are trying to outrank.
Have some articles written up for you to use. Go to the end of the article and anchor your keyword that will go back to your website. This is called the signature part of your article.
I keep an excel spreadsheet of all the different keywords that I am ranking for each page that I have up on my web site. If someone likes the article they will paste the article up on their webpage with the signature going back to mine. I focus on where the money is at. So I pick keyword that I know I will rank well for.
Many keywords can be competitive. If you are thinking about hiring someone else to do this kind of work for you, make you have a good understanding on what you are doing first before giving the job to someone else. You can do all kinds of links back to your website. Ever think about link exchanges? Find out what someone contact information is and ask them in they would like to do a link exchange with you. Let them know you will be willing to do the same thing.
I put a share and enjoy link at the end of all of my blog postings, so if someone really likes what I have to say that they can share it with their friends. You can always put a link to me on your website so if someone really likes what you have to offer that they can just copy and paste a clip of coding on their site.
Social bookmarking is a part of my linking strategies that I use. I ask for support when it comes to bookmarking. These entire little things that I do ad up to get the word out. I subscribe to link building services. What I'll do is submit one link to them and it grows over a period of time.
Web 2.0 is also a good thing to use. What you do is your putting up content on someone else's network. Then you link back to your own website. Use a variety of different links. Don't post to affiliate programs or your work will get banned. Submit those RSS feeds to all the different directories. Now you know a little bit about link building.
