Most people that are involved in the network marketing industry would agree that there is one thing that is vital in order to have a great career in network marketing, and that one thing is RECRUITING! Let's face it, if you don't constantly recruit new people into your business, your business will not grow as fast as it could, and in some cases, it will not grow at all. So, if recruiting is vital for a network marketer; becoming a great recruiter is also vital for a network marketer.


Since there is not much formal recruiting training in the network marketing industry, the average person that begins a career in the network marketing industry has very little idea of how to successfully and consistently build their business. There may be some very basic training from their uplines, which typically amounts to making a list of everyone they have ever met in their lives and try to contact them about their new business opportunity. No matter how much success the individual has with that method (which is usually very little) that list will dry up eventually. Then what?

It's usually around this point that many new network marketers start to make a huge mistake in their prospecting/recruiting efforts. They start to become desperate and needy. There is not a constant stream of new leads coming their way, so they begin to nag and beg the leads that they do have. This is a sure way to not only fail at building relationships with your current leads, but also a great way to frustrate yourself and lose motivation for future prospecting efforts. You also come across as a person who is not a leader and is not valuable to your potential prospects; and believe me, they can sense the desperation.


Now here's how to avoid that mistake.

The key to successful recruiting in your network marketing business is to make yourself attractive to those that are seeking a successful networking marketing business. If you are successful at this, you won't have to worry about finding new prospects because they will be finding you. The single most important thing that you can do to make this transformation is to gain knowledge! The more knowledge you obtain about how to build a successful business, the more valuable you become to potential prospects. They know that you will be able to learn from you so that they will be able to accomplish the one thing that everyone who has ever gotten into network marketing is interested in, and that is making more MONEY.

The first piece of knowledge that you will need is how to build a system in which new prospects continuously come to you. If you are able to generate hundreds of free leads per week, you obviously won't be too concerned if one particular lead wants to become a business partner of yours or not. You will be in control, and you will not be desperate. Even more importantly, you will be able to sit back and choose who YOU want to work with, and not hope that someone wants to work with you. Trust me, having that option is VERY POWERFUL, and will make all the difference in your network marketing career.
